Description
The project was handed over to our team by a respected employer on a 6,000 square meter land with a proposal to build a ground floor villa with an approximate area of 200 square meters.
after analyzing the site condition and the quality of environment, it was a garden with various fruit trees which our client was not willing to cut any of them and he just agreed to transplant young trees, therefore, Villa is located in the site according to exsisting limitations and we made our decision to built it above than ground level due to three purposes,
1- Providing a covered space for facilities such as parking and pool.
2- Preventing from building surrounding by trees due to provided by proper lighting and ventilation.
3- Using of maximum visibility to our hole site area, especially Alborz and Damavand Mountain ranges in the southern part of the site
The most important desire of client was a spacious hall for family ceremonies and a practical balcony for daily use. Therefore, our designing team consider external stairs on the northern side of the building which is the sign of traditional access to the building in that area in the past, on the other hand, a long hall is located in the south which has a direct access to a balcony by 3/meter depth. This balcony makes a better experience of being in the area when sitting in the hall drinking your coffee while enjoying panorama view of landscape. In addition, the balcony extends to the east for spectacular scenery.
In the preliminary design, white expose stair was considered for easier access from the porch to the southern part of the building. However, during the process of the project implementation, the client informed us that he needs more natural direct light to dry his crops in the summer and spring, thus this issue made us make some changes. We extend the expose stair to the roof to use it as an area for fruit drying.
The other point to be mentioned here is decreasing the Intensity of direct sunlight in the western and northwestern windows by creating a 60/centimeter recess in the depth of the windows. With this preparation, diagonal shadows were created, which increase the visual dynamics of these two elevations.
