Description
The park accomodates a community center with two small libraries, a workshop for children, a community hall and office space. These functions were distributed partly in restored existing building and in two newly constructed structures. In contrast with traditional Iranian geometric garden design, the architect opted for a more organic and diversified use of space. This enabled the most advantageous use to be made of the relatively small garden area by the length of the walkways extending through and around small artificial hills and densely planted areas.
The resulting creation is a central terraced plaza linking the two opposite extremities of the park. In the park center, a raised zig-zag walkway is sustained on a series of arches which crosses the plaza and overlooks the lower area of the park, transformed into a children's play area. The landscape is enhanced by a system of fountains and waterfalls which originates in front of the buildings at the upper section of the plaza.
