Description
A new space was expected to be constructed next to an existing country - house. It was client’s request to make a new space next to the house, while creating a new vision and experience of the space. After observing the site, a location adjacent to the house, facing the alley and the surrounding areas was identified. We decided to create the new space, while still keeping the old trees existing in the area. It came to our consideration to raise the level of the new space higher to the altitude of the tree branches in order to achieve the best views and experience of the site, considering the slope of the land, and the position of the trees. Moreover, we have used the main tree trunks in the space for a better harmony.
In order to implement the idea, we have sought green space specialist assistance to evaluate the age of the trees, their types, and ability to bear high load structures and also to make sure whether they are reliable for installation and construction of a building. After considering opinions of the experts on the project and being ensured that it is practical, the first step in building a tree house was taken. We chose dark wood as the material of the final cover of the tree house for a better harmony with the theme and the sensation of the space. In addition, we wanted the structure to be close to the country-house in texture. We used broken and sloping surfaces in the form of the tree house to evoke the natural lines of the tree and also make it closer to the typology of the country-house.
