Description

Kenarab Project was formed in response to its two inherent challenges. First challenge was to create a 10-story structure adjacent to a 5-story building with balance. The western and northern facades were lightened with planned holes and large cavities. A visual stepped up create by facade materials further help the visual effect of gradual ascent. The second challenge was creating 6 m (off-density) open spaces. The quest to create these spaces for all units without splitting living levels and without disturbing the view. The intent was to avoid creating ‘marginal’ space and crate a ‘primary’ space that serves as the main entrance to the house and a private courtyard.

The facade holes transferred to large green spaces, separating the houses from the relatively crowded main street and giving the face a green appearance. The project's land is 1,150 square meters, the remainder being 800 meters after the correction, and the base area is 45% of the land. The front yard of the building is green and without fencing. These were the technical challenges of the project. But the big question of the project is how to design a home?
