Description

The house consists of a living room on the lower level and a kitchen and a bedroom which is located at higher level due to the Siminehrood River rises during the rainy seasons. The river rise level is such that water practically surrounds the project. Therefore, the whole project is situated on two different levels but above ground level. The link between the two levels (living room on one level and the kitchen and bedroom on a higher level) is possible through a decorative staircase in the living room. Level difference has enabled bedroom to protrude and become a significant element in the whole mass. stair and the handmade wood fireplace buried in the living room floor are such designed that has been placed as component elements next to the general elements to gain equal value (for example fireplace has the same value as bedroom).

A continuous empty space has been designed between the platform and the living room to prevent the intrusion of rainwater in the spring or the winter’s melting snow, and covered with mountain rocks placed side by side.
