Description
The Khalili Family Garden is a residential complex located on the coast of the Caspian Sea in the north of Iran where many Iranians build their secondary residences for holidays and such. It is created to meet the desires and needs of the Khalilli family. The garden consists of five structures including one general and four private areas that are connected to each other through creatively designed corridors that are elevated above zero ground.
The architect had to design the complex inside a rectangular area that sits between the sea and a main road in a way so that all structures would benefit from an acceptable air circulation and satisfying view to the sea while preserving existing green including trees and special plants. Iranian architecture has a special way to differentiate between private and general living areas. This complex tends to recognize the local cultural values in this respect. It also tries to maintain the feel of a village in a private fashion.
