Description

Central Library and documentation center of University of Tehran was designed by Architect Bahman Paknia. " Due to the fact that there was no experience in building a library in Iran and foreign documents were not easily applicable, there were difficulties for the architect. After several meetings, it was decided that after preparing preliminary plans, to reassurance, he would take them to the UNESCO Library in Paris, where the famous expert called "Blyton" works. After obtaining their opinion, final plans were provided.

The plans that he had prepared for the library based on the needs requested by the university and according to the criteria and technical calculations, he had submitted to the Plan and Budget Organization for implementation and the Plan and Budget Organization informed the university." (Iraj Afshar).
